Counselling & Homepathy

/// NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME /// Ayisha is on maternity leave with a view to providing Zoom consultations in the medium term. Please call to enquire.

I am Ayisha.

My therapeutic counselling approach offers you a safe, confidential place to talk about your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable. My clients are at the centre of my work and we choose methods of therapy that are of most relevance to the process of self-growth. In my integrative approach to psychotherapy, I can offer a spiritual, cognitive-behavioural, psychoanalytic or naturopathic approach (herbal, homeopathy, nutritional) as treatment. Together, we explore subjects around self-confidence and self-worth, acceptance of past experiences and quality of relationships in order to enable you to take responsibility for your own choices and make positive changes for the future. I am able to offer the counselling in either English or Polish.

I have been working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a range of emotional issues such as addiction, anxiety, depression, anger, self-harm, sexuality, spiritual development, abuse, relationship difficulties, cultural or religious identity, homelessness, socio-economic deprivation, trauma, bullying. I have experience of working with Lateef Project Islamic Counselling Agency, National Health Services (NHS) under the IAPT program, Polish Medical Centre PolMed, Polish Therapeutic Centre – Centrum Terapi, My Time Counselling Agency, and Cedar Counselling Agency.

Homeopathy

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is based on using natural substances including plants and minerals to stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself. Homeopathy has been used in individuals for 200 years, created by Dr Samuel Hahnemann. It is based on the principle ‘like cures like’ believing the body knows how to heal itself and the symptoms your body displays is your body taking action to overcome an illness.

Homeopathy recognises that good health reaches beyond being free from pain. It treats the whole person instead of symptoms and supports you to live life to your full potential. Homeopathy considers all aspects of your health, including spiritual, emotional, physical, psychological and provides insight into finding the roots of your health’s disharmony. We often combine counselling with homeopathy with good results in order to work with trauma, history of abuse, anger management issues, low self-esteem and dis-balanced moods.

What can homeopathy treat?

You may turn to homeopathy to treat a number of different issues such as:

Mood issues, anger management, anxieties, panic attacks, abuse, trauma, low self-esteem, fatigue, despair, depression, insomnia.

Physical issues :

Respiratory problems such as recurrent colds, coughs, asthma, COPD.

         Migraines, headaches

         Ear infections

Endocrine diseases like diabetes, thyroid illness

         Obesity and weight problems

         Eating disorders, food intolerances

Skin conditions such as eczema, veruccas

         Gastro-intestinal conditions such as IBS

         Bowel and digestive problems

         Cystitis, incontinence

         Allergies and food intolerances

         Arthritis, rheumatism and back pain

         Behavioural problems in children

         Fertility

PMS, menopause and hormonal imbalances i.e. PCOS

How does it work?

The remedies are based on quantum physic laws and are not pharmaceutical in its origin. They are also free from unethical animals testing, non-toxic, non-invasive and non-addictive and can be used for babies, children, pregnancy and breastfeeding. They can be taken alongside drug prescribed by a doctor and will not interfere with them. Homeopathy is based on energetic laws of self-healing, releasing emotions from tissue cell level as well as stimulating the individual’s immune system to become stronger, rather than reliant on drugs to kill bacteria/viruses.

What happens in homeopathic treatment sessions?

Our therapist will listen and understand you in terms of your symptoms, your personality and your health. Our therapist will explore your history to establish the root causes of the issue, through counselling as well as offering homeopathic treatment. She offers both treatments side by side, as we believe this is more beneficial for you. Homeopathy is a very powerful treatment and our homeopathy therapist has extensive experience of successfully treating a variety of different issues.

Hijama

Wet cupping therapy has both physical and spiritual dimensions of cleansing. This clinically proven ancient method is considered an energetic and detoxifying remedy. Hijama has the potential to unclog meridians, re-balance the immunity and alkaline environment by removing acidity.

“Hijama” in Arabic literally means “to suck” and to “return to a normal state” of internal balance. It ultimately helps the body to create a balance and alkaline environment by removing acidity.  Hijama cupping therapy is a holistic,  powerful method of cleansing which removes toxic and stagnant blood from the body. Cupping therapy, therefore, is the name of the actual procedure itself.

Procedure

As vacuum is created in a cup and placed on the body it causes a negative pressure, pulls the muscles into the cup and draws the blood to the cupped area. This first stage is known as “dry cupping”. When the cup is removed a small, shallow incisions are made in the same area, before putting the cup back on. This pulls out the toxic blood, acids and excess fluids from the body. This second stage is called a “wet“, or “blood cupping“.

Historic background

Cupping remained a constant in professional medical treatment throughout Europe. It was practiced by such famous physicians as Galen, Paracelsus, Ambroise Pare and Hahnemann. The first documented medical text was found in 1550 BC in Egypt, and it is argued that first to invent cupping were Chinese doctors  over 5,000 years ago. It was commonly practiced in the Roman Empire, Islamic Empire, Europe, Russia, Central Asia, South Asia, and the United States, with its highest popularity in 18th and 19th Centuries in Europe. Right now it is most popular in China, Finland, Russia and many Muslim-majority countries.

The Medical Benefits

Hijama Cupping is an excellent form of preventative and curative therapy. It is widely used by modern athletes as well within athlete’s  community. Below are some of the ways cupping helps:

Boosts the circulatory and immune systems

Cleanses and detoxifies the body

Stimulates metabolism of tissues

Stimulates circulation and lymphatic systems

Oxygenates tissues

Balances endocrine system and hormones

Treats illness and relaxes the muscles

Pain relief such as headaches, migraines

Hijama is also useful for treating many issues around systems:

Musculo-skeletal: pains and aches, arthritis, frozen shoulder and sciatica rheumatism, lumbago and stiff neck

Hormonal: Thyroid,  like sub-fertility, menorrhagia, and pre-menstrual syndrome, endometriosis, PCOS and fertility

Mental: depression, anxiety

Immune: fibromyalgia, MS and lupus

Respiratory: cold, flu, asthma, chronic cough, pleurisy, bronchial congestion

Digestive: weight issues, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, fatty liver and thyroid

and dermatology issues eczema, psoriasis, fungus, vitiligo.

Detox

Sometimes we need to go back to basics before we can start healing. If you are confused about detoxing, it is best to think of it as cleaning your house. Once you de-clutter your organism from toxins only then you can enjoy the healing process. The process of detoxification can take anything from 9 days, 2 weeks up to 14 weeks. It is up to individual commitment level, how deeply each of the participant of the program is prepared to apply him/her self.

The philosophy that I apply in my approach is that in order to answer any health issues we should go back to the origin of the disease. According to many doctors, including Dr Clarkson or Gerson  ‘there is only one source of the ill – the toxaemia’. This stands for all the chemicals that we affect our physical bodies with: internally and externally on mental and spiritual level. Once these evaporate your system, you can not only enjoy your full potential but also expect the healing potentials of your body to take their turn. Only then the life style of exercise, good diet, additional supplements or ‘alternative’ therapies can fully enrich your wellbeing

During the 14 weeks program you will be required to change your diet, slow down, reflect and apply fasting with herbal and liquid supplements. Within the price of the program you will receive theory resources, supply of herbs and free access to support group and mentoring on:
